Paranoid voices
Screaming in my head
A fresh pile of roses
With no leaves, all shed

Disappointment awaits
For those who expect
And if life gives you lemons
Better beat out some sweat

Do your best, Beat the rest
And then try to sleep
But with paranoid voices
Sleep is nothing to keep

Break tense stress by pulling the strings
Empty meaningless lists with promises to miss
Mind is in flood with three second memories
But with paranoid voices
One can never make peace

Moving forward, no less
My mind can never know rest
From the paranoid voices
Reaching out from the depths

Like so a burst of control
And bright light fills the hall
Leave the paranoid voices
Leaving nothing at all
